Rayuan Pantai Belakang Sambu - Sambu Island & Belakang Padang Island

Pancung - Traditional wooden boat
The journey to Belakang sambu island was done on october 2014. After my marriage, I decided to arrage a small trip to Belakang padang and Belakang Sambu island. The team are my wife, my sister, my sister in law and my self.

We went to special port for short-distance trip by pancung - a traditional wooden boat with 1 single motor. It cost Rp. 15,000- per person. We headed for Belakang Padang Island. It took 15 minutes to reach the island. The wave was calm and it was a nice and exciting short trip.

Belakang padang is an island and included in batam city territory. In old days, it was first established prior to batam island. Nowdays, Batam island is the center of civilization as the impact of rapid development in couple decades.

As we arrived in belakang padang sea port, we walked about 300 meters to find a small coffee shop with traditional delicious cuisines. We were starving at the time. As we found the shop, we ordered what is popular in belakang padang which are: Mie Lendir and roti prata. I also having teh tarik for my self. At that time, the shop was full of customer, and we had to wait longer. But the cuisine was worth to wait. We ate and got full :D

Mie Lendir Belakang Padang
Mie Lendir itself is touge, mie, special peanut souce mix together with additional fried garlic topping and a boilled chicken egg. The taste is awesome and the price only Rp. 8,000- per pax. Low price High taste hehehe.

After having brunch, we stayed a lil longer to relax our body for a healthy digestion :p
Like an Old saying "Lapar ganas, kenyang dongo" It means " When you are hungry, you become a monster, but when you're full, you become a moron...

It's time to travel the island

From the shop, we walked downtown. We asked local how on earth to travel the island. The local suggested us to take a pedicab or ojek - motorcycle. The price for ojeg is Rp. 50.000 per person, for pedicab is Rp. 50.000 per 2 persons. Mathematicaly, we spend less money if we take pedicab. Hence we took a pedicab.
It took less than an hour to travel the island.

Before the pedicab took us back to downtown, we ordered to be taken to white sand beach. Litteraly, we couldnt find the white sand heheh.. It is not recommended anyway. So we went to the port right away after a flash look. At the sea port we discussed about continuing our journey to the island next to belakang padang.
It is called Sambu Island. My destination was Belakang sambu beach which located at the back of the island. Thats why it's called belakang which means "back"

Sambu Island

Sambu Island is 15 minutes away by pancung from Belakang padang sea port. It cost Rp. 10,000 per person. The island was wellknown as an oil island. It was the oil reserve station for Pertamina - the only oil state company of Indonesia. Now, it still working but in a very low capacity. Many houses and facilities are abondened. I think the company involve not as many workers as it was. Thats a lil info about the island.

Sambu Island Port

As we arrived, I felt like we were alone in this island. We barely saw human being in this island. No local, only small group of worker in a canteen. (may be it was a recess time). From the port we walked to the hill. The only clue was that the island located at the opposite of the port-side island. So the beach might be at the back of the hill.

When we reached the hill, i was surprised. what was left on my sight was a jungle. But after a lil walk from an abondent house, i found a track.

Yeah a track down to the....BEACH. I almost couldnt sea the beach. We walked down to the beach. But it is not as near as we thought. So we took a break and take a few pic :P
Finally, after a long way down we enter a seaside housing complex. It was peaceful. The Houses is well-take care eventhough most of it has been abondened. Moreover, it was so clean, i was totally impressed.

We took a break (again) while enjoy the beach. it was nice. I, myself enjoy the complex while fantasized about the activity at those old days.
Satisfied with the wind blowing through our hair, we continued out trip to the end spot of the beach. It was the closest spot to view Singapore island.

At the end of our journey was a pertamina tower. It's located at the corner/tip of the island. The scenery from the top of tower was awesome.

We went back through the same route. It was about 4 pm when we reached the port. There were no passenger left unfortunately. So we had to rent a pancung to batam. It cost Rp. 100,000 per boat.
Our trip was fantastic. what a day!! :D

Single Touring Jogja - Bandung tahun 2009 silam #latepost

Rencana pun mulai disusun. Pertama-tama adalah servis motor. Maklum Honda supra X yg gw juluki the Naughty Blue ini wajib di servis sebulan sekali minimal. Selanjutnya knalpot yang udah keropos gw bawa ke las-las’an buat dilas supaya tarikan makin oke.

Lalu, browsing di internet untuk tau jarak jogja-bandung, waktu yang ditempuh and kota2 yg bakal dilalui a.k.a rute perjalanan.

Saatnya The Naughty blue diuji ketangguhannya.

Majenang : Bussyeet deh nih kota, jalan full of holes. Gede2 pulak tuh.

Katanya, “30 menit lagi dah nyampe ciamis kok.” Langsung aja gw semangat heheh. Perjalanan pun berlanjut.

Ciamis : Bener aja, Cuma 30 menitan udah nyampe ciamis. Tapi gila, kayaknya ciamis nih gak abis2 deh. Panjang amat. Sialnya lagi, di Ciamis ujan. Terpaksa deh berhenti sebentar buat pake mantel. Tapi ternyata hujannya hujan local. Sesampai di tasik, hujan udah reda walaupun masih ada rintik2 kecil gitu tapi ga papa klo ga pake jas ujan.

Malangbong-Nagrek : setelah lama menyusuri ciamis-tasik, gw memasuki malangbong yg merupakan salah satu kecamatan di kabupaten Garut. Jalannya masih naik gitu deh. Ketinggian daerah ini kira-kira 600 m diatas permukaan laut. Perbandingannya klo jogja itu 300an m dpl, cilacap 0-15 m dpl. Kerasa banget pasti dinginnya, apalagi malam-malam gini. Setelah malangbong, gw memasuki nagrek. Daerah ini bener-bener bikin motor gw menjerit. Tanjakannya bikin hati meringis *halah.

Fiuuhh.. Nyampe di kos jam 00.16 WIB (setelah makan nasi uduk di depan maranatha). Tidur trus besok pagi jam 9 berangkat ke Jobfair di Braga and poto bersama the naughty blue di depan gedung sate heheheh =P. Total waktu perjalanan Jogja – Bandung yg gw tempuh berarti sekitar 8,5 jam

Waiting visa to kuwait

CKFIt's been 4 months since the agreement between me and Agency signed. We're told that visa will be issued on 8 weeks after. It was a happy moment for me. I was still working with the Baskin Robbins ice cream at that time as a store manager in batam area.

Based on the agreement, i decided to resign from my job at the end of january 2014. I forecasted that my visa will be issued on february.  I am very excited because my wife is working at kuwait. (FYI my wife has been working there since 2010 and we got married in october 2013).

I fantasize me and my wife will get together and run the daily life as a family for real. Just like other young couple :D

Day by day passed. The visa which i am waiting for still doesnt seem to be issued yet. I am running out of money :p. My activity is boring. I wakes up very early in the morning, run my family bussiness :  Carwash and canteen. It is a very promishing bussiness to run, but I dont think im gonna run this bussiness for now. I need to pursue my dreams and happiness with my wife by working averseas. May be for the next 5 years or more.

I was contracted by M.H. Alshaya to work at The Cheesecake Factory - bakery station. The Cheesecake factory is one of the franchises bought by alshaya from United States to open in GCC like dubai, kuwait, qatar etc.

I am going to be placed in Kuwait. New mall is under development now and it is predicted to be open in August. Since our training will be carried out for 3 months, so I will fly in the beginning of may (logically :D). I hope everything is going well.
